The message of the Gospel is the free gift of eternal life to those who believe. “God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son”; that “Christ is made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption”. Only in Christ is our whole salvation.
There are many things involved in soul-winning such as earnest piety, common sense, spiritual wisdom in adapting means to the end. Matter and manner and order and time and place all need to be wisely adjusted to the end we have in view. Without this sagacity and adaptation of means to this end a spiritual mind will fail to win souls to Christ.
In preaching the Gospel, we must present those truths. Sinners must be convicted of their enmity. They do not know God and consequently are often ignorant of the opposition of their hearts to Him. “By the law is the knowledge of sin,” because by the law the sinner gets his first true idea of God. By the law, he first learns that God is perfectly benevolent and infinitely opposed to all selfishness.
The word of God declares that, “Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure and whether it be right” (Proverbs 20:11). True Christian youths must be obedient, kind, loving, respectful and good to others. The Christian youth ought to have a testimony of good behaviour among the other students. He must be a shining light in the darkness of the world where he lives.
It is a common saying that, he who fails to plan has already planned to fail. You must always plan for progress. You will be more organized to have a clear direction in your work when you plan before taking action. It is of great advantage to always plan on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis in order to build on past achievements and to work for the prospects of future achievements.
Principles are not only personal; communities, teams, corporations, countries also have fundamental truths too and it is in their misalignment with ours that conflict, distrust, and heartache occur. Hey! even a den of thieves have their unique group Principles, it is their own truth. So Principles are not a way to delineate good or bad.
Dear reader, I don’t know what phase of life you are in. I don’t know what’s going on right now with you, but here’s what I want to say to you, keep moving. It’s enough you are still here and that’s something to be grateful for. Don’t be a victim of discouragement, or demotivation. Seeking who to blame for the present state won’t move you forward. Note that as God was with those before us, so He is with us too to give us the expected end. Let’s do our best with what we have while we keep trusting God for wisdom to expand the different areas of our lives.
It is a great necessity on our part to seek divine protection because everybody sooner or later realizes the necessity of having a keeper. For you, the job has been made easy. Before you woke up today, before you slept last night, indeed, before you were even born, God had positioned Himself as your keeper who will keep you from every evil.
Excellence does not come overnight. Just as it takes time to lay a solid foundation before the superstructures are put on the house, it also takes time toiling and laboring in the right direction of excellence before it is achieved. It is however possible for you to excel in your academics and also in your life if you are ready to pay the price.
The word of God reveals the mind of God on every issue of life. The Bible contains God’s commands for us to obey, God’s warnings for us to heed, God’s corrections for the erring ones, and godly examples for us to follow. Retention of its precepts in our hearts is a formidable antidote against evil.
We need the Lord’s favor more than money or any other material things, more than gold or every good gift, more than friends or any other humanly favor. The Lord is whom we really need in our life. Lord lifting his countenance on you and I will attract his blessing and riches on us.
It is folly for anyone to think that he can continue to live in sin while enjoying God’s goodness. Such folks clearly have a perverted understanding of who God really is. Those who take Him for a Father Christmas who caresses all who come to Him and soft-gloves their acts of misdemeanor will be shocked to discover God’s anger and judgment against them ultimately.
Effective communication calls for painstaking search, selection, and stringing of picture-building words. An effective leader must take note of certain features when dealing with his working force.
Such can be said about certain opportunities – when lost, they are gone forever. It becomes very disturbing when such opportunities have great and long lasting implications.
Men and Women with passion and purpose in life must continue to pursue their success goals regardless of seemingly inconvenient conditions. You must be committed to your goal achievement come rain, come sunshine; and when you are full or hungry.
What distinguishes winners from losers is the way they view and/or handle problems. While winners view great obstacles as challenges too big to miss, the losers view them as too big to hit. You should not be intimidated by problems and difficulties.
Forward is upward and is the secret of success in every sphere of life. Apostle Paul was conscious of this when he wrote: ‘I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus’ (Philippians 3:13,14).
Your success depends on how far you can stretch yourself to reach out your goals. You cannot realize an uncommon achievement by attempting common tasks. The greater the goals you set for success, the better for exceptional achievement. It is better to aim high and take risks to climb up to the pinnacle of success.
Thus the great forbearance of God is to lead sinners to repentance. He waits for them for days and for months and perhaps for years! How wonderful that God should spare them. He sent his ministers, his written word, his providences, and to no effect. Finally, he came himself by his own Spirit and has been abused by them in a thousand ways. And even now perhaps you are still indulging in unbelief which is a sin that grieves him almost beyond endurance. If you persist you do it at the peril of your soul.
The consequence of this state of deception is to expect to be abandoned by the Spirit of God. If they should continue to remain in their state of deception, they may expect the Holy Spirit to abandon them forever. God’s Spirit will not always strive with man. He gave up the Israelites because they vexed and grieved his Spirit. He abandoned the old world for the same reason. And many individuals, and families, and nations, in every age of the world have been given up because they have refused to come out of deception into the light of the truth.
Jesus told the Sadducees that they are wrong because they “do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God.” (Matt. 22:29, ESV) We often struggle with a question, only to realize that had we understood the Bible and the power of God, we would not even have to ask? but rather we would have already known the answer!
Easter is the time we remember the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus died and He rose from the dead. He commissioned his disciples to preach the gospel. The same Jesus Christ has all authority in heaven and on the earth. By the name of Jesus Christ, miracles happen today.
We shall live to possess our possession. Healing and health are for the children of God today. We can lay claim boldly to this redemptive grace, not with uncertainty, but with the confidence of faith and prayer to get healed and remain healthy all the days of our lives. Now we are redeemed, purchased, bought back again to be God’s peculiar possession.
The Scriptures thought us that “after we believe” we are, or maybe, sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, and that this sealing is the earnest of our salvation. Ephesians 1:13, 14: “In whom ye also trusted after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory.” This sealing, this earnest of our inheritance, is that which renders our salvation sure.
