A new beginning

sunset, spring, melting

This year 2021 is still fresh. Just like a plain sheet of paper, we still have the opportunity to fill in whatever we want to accomplish. This year has a lot to offer us. It comes with lots of choices to make — choices different from previous years.

Isaiah 1: 16 – 19 gives us a picture of the new beginning we can have with our God this year; a new beginning between the Creator and the created.
The Lord, in His mercy and compassion, says, “Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil… “ (vs. 16).

If there is going to be a new beginning with God, first, we have to:
1. Realize and repent from our sinful and selfish lifestyle;
2. Pray for forgiveness of all sins and desist from them;
3. Acknowledge Jesus as our Lord and Savior, Master and soon-coming King;
4. Decide to walk closely with God throughout the year.

The Creator seeks His creature’s company. He said, “Come now, and let us reason together.” (vs. 18) He invites you to walk together with Him, take decisions with, and make choices with Him all through the year.

Dear friend, no matter how bad you think you are, there is still room at Calvary’s cross for you. If you will just decide to go through this year with God, you will see Him taking care of everything in your life. Begin this year with your Creator now that you have the opportunity.

You can have a fresh start with your Creator now that you are still alive, for tomorrow is not promised. The Psalmist said, “Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass”. (Psalm 37:5).

Don’t attend to this year without committing all your ways to the Lord. Let Him lead and guide you day by day so that your tomorrow will be great.

Don’t forget: this new beginning with the Creator can assure you eternity with Him in heaven on the last day.
Heaven is real. Do not miss it for anything in the world. Let it be your highest aim. Desire to be there, and you will get there with God’s help in Jesus’ name. Amen.
