The Holy Spirit is a moral agent, and consequently, he has the susceptibilities and feelings of a moral being, and must therefore be grieved with whatever is naturally grievous to a moral being.

Easter is the time we remember the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus died and He rose from the dead. He commissioned his disciples to preach the gospel. The same Jesus Christ has all authority in heaven and on the earth. By the name of Jesus Christ, miracles happen today.
We shall live to possess our possession. Healing and health are for the children of God today. We can lay claim boldly to this redemptive grace, not with uncertainty, but with the confidence of faith and prayer to get healed and remain healthy all the days of our lives. Now we are redeemed, purchased, bought back again to be God’s peculiar possession.
The Scriptures thought us that “after we believe” we are, or maybe, sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, and that this sealing is the earnest of our salvation. Ephesians 1:13, 14: “In whom ye also trusted after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory.” This sealing, this earnest of our inheritance, is that which renders our salvation sure.
Sin can be deceitful thereby exceedingly exposing the souls to delusion. Therefore an effective preacher should diligently lookout every nook and corner where a soul can find a false refuge. The sower should be so thorough and discriminating as to render it as nearly impossible as the nature of the case will admit that the soul should entertain a false hope.
If a man has the real witness of the Holy Spirit in himself, he will know it and also be able to distinguish it from presumption. It will be clear to him as the light of the day and obvious like the light of a star.
The Holy Scriptures are full of evidence that distinguished the real testimony of the Spirit with our spirit, from damning presumption. We are not left in ignorance of the circumstances which go before, which accompany, and which follow, the true, genuine testimony of the Spirit of God with the spirit of a believer.
Understanding or hearing the voice of the Spirit could sometimes be confusing to human comprehension. How often have many vain men mistaken the voice of their own imagination for this witness of the Spirit of God, and thence idly presumed they were the children of God while they were doing the works of the devil!
The great mass of sinners is careless, unconvicted. One should not assume their conviction and preparedness to receive Christ. When preachers are eager to urge sinners immediately to accept Christ, is to begin the work of soul-winning at the wrong end. The sinner needs to hear the whole truth of the word. Though in some cases, there may be a conviction in some men, which is already ripe, and the preacher just needs to present Christ, with the hope of His being accepted; but at ordinary times such cases are exceptional.
The purpose of the preaching of the gospel to secure the salvation of souls. Thus the admonition of the Scripture above relates to the matter, order, and manner of preaching.
We need a work of the Holy Spirit of a supernatural kind, putting power into the preaching of the Word, inspiring all believers with heavenly energy, and solemnly affecting the hearts of the careless, so that they turn to God and live. We should not be drunk with the wine of carnal excitement but be filled with the Spirit. We would behold the fire descending from heaven in answer to the effectual fervent prayers of righteous men. Let us entreat the Lord our God to make bare His holy Old-fashioned Doctrine
Such is the face value of any help from man. However, God’s promises are ‘yea’ and ‘amen’, signed, sealed, and delivered as He desires. This should inspire confidence in the true children of God whenever the enemy tries to assail from every side.
It does not matter which man is on your side or who is against you. Your trust should be in the Lord. Above all take heed, that God is with you in everything you do till death. If God is on the side of any man, can anyone be against him or be able to hurt him?

Today is the day of your breakthrough, the morning of your miracle, the morning of your healing, the morning of your deliverance. Open your mouth and talk to the Lord. Have hope in God. Have hope in God. Have hope in God. Talk to the Lord in prayer. The anchor of hope is that anchor that will not allow your ship to stray, or to drift. It is that hope that is anchored by what Christ has already paid the full price for you this morning.
A vision can’t be held sacrosanct because it’s susceptible to social change. Time and events are sometimes cruel to visions. They may render them obsolete or block their implementation. Then, in spite of its vulnerability, a vision is one of the main things that make leadership tick.

Get closer to God. Ask for His oil from heaven. Seek the double-portion anointing. Be bold as you prepare to see unprecedented glory just ahead, for our precious Lord Jesus Christ has promised it.
Behold, the Lord would not have us consider the things of old. He says, “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth;…”.
We would not be able to see the “new thing” God has in store for us in the new year if we keep reminiscing on the downsides of the previous year. His glorious promise is to “make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert” for His children.
Isaiah 1: 16 – 19 gives us a picture of the new beginning we can have with our God this year; a new beginning between the Creator and the created.
The Lord, in His mercy and compassion, says, “Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil… ” (vs. 16).
People who put off everything until they are sure of it will never get anything done! One may delay, but time will not, and time lost can never be regained.
